When CMS audited provider directories, roughly half the entries were wrong — and follow-up studies found errors still standing 18 months later. Every bad row costs the same: an associate’s hour, a partner’s afternoon, or an outreach email to a practice that closed in 2023.
And the list you were handed is older than it looks. Broker books get assembled once and forwarded for months; purchased databases are copies of copies. In the meantime, practices added associates, dropped insurance plans, moved, rebranded, and sold. Import & Verify re-underwrites every row as of today — not as of whenever someone compiled it.

Street numbers are compared by math, not vibes — the AI is not allowed to un-flag a mismatched address. Phone numbers can’t silently re-anchor a row without corroborating evidence.
